Jehue cops first award

JEHUE GORDON’S season for grabbing accolades began with him being named Male Athlete of the Year 2013 by Memphis Pioneers Athletic Club.

Gordon has also been nominated for Spirt of Sport Award Male Athlete of the Year and is a hot candidate as well to be named Trinidad and Tobago Sportsman of the Year.

Winner of 400-metre hurdle event at the IAAF World Championships, Moscow, Russia, the first of Gordon’s likely sweep of accolades began when he and Dawnell Collymore were named Memphis Male and Female Athletes of the Year respectively.

Reubin Walters was the top Boys Under-20 athlete, while Kadeem Campbell and Jeminise Parris were Boys and Girls Under-18 Athletes of the Year in that order.
